How To Use Clipvora

Install, permissions, cycle paste, saved clips, Pro cloud sync, account recovery, and troubleshooting.

Install

Windows

  1. Download the Windows beta installer from clipvora.app/download.
  2. Use only a link sent by support@clipvora.app or shown on clipvora.app.
  3. Run the installer.
  4. Launch Clipvora.
  5. Use the tray icon or keyboard shortcut to open the app.

macOS

  1. Download the macOS beta build from clipvora.app/download.
  2. Use only a link sent by support@clipvora.app or shown on clipvora.app.
  3. Open the DMG and move Clipvora to Applications.
  4. Launch Clipvora.
  5. Open System Settings, Privacy & Security, then Accessibility.
  6. Enable Clipvora.
  7. Quit and reopen Clipvora.

Clipvora needs Accessibility permission on macOS to send paste keyboard events.

macOS Unsigned Beta First Launch

During beta, macOS may block Clipvora because signing and notarization are not finalized. Only use this workaround for builds downloaded directly from clipvora.app or downloads.clipvora.app.

sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Clipvora.app

After running the command, open Clipvora from Applications and grant Accessibility permission when needed.

Save And Use Clips

Copy text, links, or images from any application. Clipvora automatically captures and stores them in your local history for instant reuse.

Highlight text in Jira, Slack, or any browser. Take a screenshot or copy an image file directly.

Clipvora runs in the background and detects every new clipboard event with perfect fidelity.

Cycle History

Last Clip Only Mode (Safest & Default)

This is the safest mode for compatibility across all applications. While you hold the cycle shortcut modifier (Ctrl), Clipvora highlights clips in the app. Release to paste only the final selection.

Clip everything

Copy text, links, or images. Clipvora captures them with perfect fidelity.
Ctrl + C on Windows or ⌘ + C on macOS.

Quick Cycle

Hold Ctrl (Win) or Option (Mac) and tap Space to browse history without pasting.

Release to Paste

Release the keys to paste the selected clip into your active app instantly.

Whole Field Mode

Every tap of the cycle shortcut pastes the selection immediately. Clipvora automatically selects the text so the next tap replaces it.

Clip

Copy your items as usual. History is stored locally.

Tap to Swap

Tap Ctrl + Space (Win) or Option + Space (Mac). The selected clip is pasted into your app instantly.

Continuous Cycle

Tap again to replace the previous paste with the next item in your history.

Compatibility Note: This mode may fail in complex apps like Slack. If an app performs heavy background processing on a paste (like link previews), subsequent clips may be merged into the field instead of replacing the previous one.

Favorites, Templates, And Drafts

Favorites keep important clips. Templates store reusable patterns. Drafts are edited copies of clips. Draft clones start as exact native clipboard copies where possible and only switch to edited paste behavior when text is changed.

Cloud Sync

Free does not require an account and stores data on this device. Pro cloud sync is for intentional saved text clips: text favorites, templates, and drafts. Images, files, and sensitive-looking clips stay local during beta.

Regular clipboard history is not uploaded automatically.

Account Recovery

Use Forgot Password inside Clipvora to request a reset email. The reset page is hosted on clipvora.app. If a reset link is expired or already used, request a fresh email.

Troubleshooting

If macOS highlights a clip but does not paste, check Accessibility permission and quit/reopen Clipvora. If shortcuts do not trigger, another app may be using the same shortcut. If a beta download link is unavailable, contact support@clipvora.app.
